I can't seem to get away from dolls. I've been taking a nice break from making the silly things, as I feel like I'm burning out. I've been carding lots and lots of wool and I plan on spinning acres of yarn this winter.
Soooo, while I'm sitting at the spinning wheel with the latest batch of wool roving (Faulkland Top that I aquired...somewhere), my brain starts noodling off on a project that I drew up and then set aside over a year ago.
A Spinner's End dollhouse. Yes, I drew up plans to *build* a Spinner's End dollhouse 1:12 scale. And I found myself starting to kit it out (in my head, of course) and trying to figure out if I want to put in electric lighting or just go with "candles". ::headdesks::
I just can't seem to get away from dolls. It doesn't help that I have subscriptions to Soft Doll and Animal magazine, Miniature Collector magazine and Spin-Off magazine. :P Okya, granted the last one is for spinning wool, silk, bamboo, linen, well, damn near anything that can be spun into yarns. But while that is very relaxing, it doesn't exactly keep my brain from finding more interesting places to wander to. :P
I am putting the wheel away for tonight and shall indulge in reading the pile of doll magazines I've been ignoring for the last few months. |

My next door neighbors are moving out of their one-bedroom apartment. It's $200/month more than what I pay now. I live in a closet right now, and a one bedroom (with an extra two hundred square feet) would be REALLY NICE. OTOH, do I want to worry about the stress of making sure I make that extra $200 more? If I do make that much more, I could put it toward paying off my debt or putting aside for tickets.
I'm going to give it more thought. Take a look at my finances again, thinkthinkthink. My neighbors aren't moving SOON, so I have time to debate with myself. Hmmm.
In other news, I re-read Sum today, and started re-reading Parts. Parts needs some work. >.< I jimmied some scenes in and, well, it's obvious I jimmied them in. The only problem with writing 4000 words a day, three days a week, is that by the time I'm done I don't really want to write more fic... So it's going slowly. And reading most of Sum wore me out; I'm seeing cross-eyed, and it's only 4pm!
I think I'll go watch a movie and work on DK's christmas present, and hopefully perk up a little for writing, later. :)

I also made my first attempt at an anime music video; I just finished it and would have it available through grokster, morpheous or Kazaa (It’s already available here, because I still have to upload it on the following places.) It’s kind of an introduction for Kagome of the Sengoku Jidai in Axel Rose’s voice (Guns N’ Roses Welcome to the Jungle) the song is old but I thought it fit just marvelously. The only problem with lots of dog training is that, because many of my clients work, a lot of it's in the evening.
I tend to start crashing about 5pm.

Okay, not really any gory details, a such, I just happened to be listening to 'Cut me up Jenny' when I was writing in the subject box, lol.
Today has been kind of shitty though. I woke up in absolute agony (awful griping pains in my tummy) and it was only 'cause the pain recinded a lot that I went to work. I managed to work till lunch okay, though the pain had shifted from my front to my back. It was shortly after lunch, when the godawful tummy pains came back again, that my working day was over.
The pain seems to shift from front to back without warning. I have no idea what it is or what's causing it. I'm assuming it's to do with my shitastic kidneys (though I don't know how that explains the tummy pains). Sitting down is my most comfortable position. If I stand or lie down the pain is almost unbearable. I'm really not sure how I'm gonna sleep tonight D:
Still, its not been all bad today. This morning I managed to secure two tickets to see Green Day at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in June. Whoo! :D I also finished my book. Just have one book left to go in the Mortal Instruments trilogy. Really really loving it. It has everything; from supremely gay warlocks to forbidden (incestual, lol) love, Spanish vampires with ninja turtle names, mentions of Dumbledore duking it out with said 'supremely gay warlock', and everything else inbetween. Just brilliant, heheh. Looking forward to the third book.
So yeah, still undecided about the going to sleep part of tonight. I'm wondering if I can get some decent sleep whilst sitting upright. Hmm...

I have to figure out how to completely baby-proof the house. I have first-dibs on a puppy! Not the one that looks like Angus, though. :( He was adopted already. But there's a litter of little black lab-somethings, and I put my dibs on one (I am well-known at the shelter for taking in special-needs critters for forever-home care, so I have lots of good stars by my name already). Hubby is significantly less than pleased. He is also very correct in that our furniture wouldn't hold up to a little chewer.
I have until Wednesday to sort it all out or I will have to pass on him. :( |
